The pleasant ending is one of the nicest elements of viewing a good anime. When loose ends are tied together and plot lines are resolved, it feels like the season-long effort was worthwhile. On the other hand, when a terrific program has a mediocre finish, it might destroy the entire experience.

Take, for example, “Darling in the FRANXX,” a mecha anime that is equal parts action and romance. The narrative of the show, set in a dystopian future, revolves around children who are raised solely to pilot Franxx, which are huge humanoid robots designed to combat biological weapons known as Klaxosaurs. These juvenile combatants are known as parasites, and they are usually partnered in boy/girl teams to successfully operate the Franxx. They also have limited lifespans and are unlikely to reach adulthood.

The parasites at the heart of “Darling in the FRANXX” are a group of ten boys and girls led by Hiro, the main character. When he is unable to connect with his companion Naomi to complete their combat training, he flees and encounters the enigmatic Zero Two. We eventually learn that Zero Two is a Klaxosaur with Klaxosaur blood, which gives her exceptional abilities. Hiro can’t resist Zero Two’s attractions, despite the fact that she’s supposed to be the “partner killer,” and they pair up, much to the chagrin of the other parasites.

This begins the children’s adventure as they battle Klaxosaurs and discover more about love, life, and friendship. While the show boasts high ratings, it’s widely acknowledged that the ending was a letdown, leaving fans with more questions than answers. Here’s how it’s done. Also, you will find out which Darling In The Franxx character are you in this quiz.

Those who were disappointed with the ending of “Darling in the FRANXX” largely agreed that it felt hurried — the major reason being that a new opponent was presented seemingly out of nowhere a few episodes before the finale: an alien civilization called VIRM. The advent of VIRM not only puzzled spectators but also raised more unanswered questions. Did Hiro and Zero Two truly vanquish the VIRM, given that they were often described as indestructible? If that’s the case, how did they achieve it? And why didn’t the VIRM appear sooner in the series?

Fans took their questions and theories to Reddit, where a member named Chillibby voiced their displeasure with the twist ending. “I think the show did a good job of creating their world and institutions, describing how each race interacted and their history,” they wrote. “Then, all of a sudden, none of that matters. Over the course of three episodes, we learn that aliens were the underlying problem all along, and humans were just too stupid to realize it.”

The humans living inside the plantations imply that the world outside is uninhabitable. On some level, this makes sense because the Klaxosaurs are continuously attacking the plantation; if they just lived outside, they’d be vulnerable to attack.

About the quiz

The APE Council, on the other hand, has plainly attacked and initiated the battle with the Klaxosaurs, who would not normally be aggressive against humans. As seen at the end of the series when the children set out to perpetuate the human race, Earth has most likely always been completely livable by humans.

Zero Two and Hiro pilot Strelizia into the sky in pursuit of the VIRM, not wanting them to escape and return in greater numbers to destroy the world. They combine into one being, with Strelizia, as a result of their connection through the Franxx and their romance, so they’re practically one person.

They harness the strength of their bond to overcome the VIRM in a tremendous explosion that destroys them in the process. The series depicts the characters meeting years later as children after being reborn.

All of the grownups in the series are immortal. Adults can choose to be immortal; none of them are born with the ability. However, in order to acquire immortality, they must sacrifice their ability to reproduce.

Children who become Parasites have the ability to mature and so become eternal, but this is extremely improbable. This is primarily due to the fact that they will almost certainly die in battle with the Klaxosaurs before reaching adulthood.
