Unnecessary strain in the two men’s relationship is left in the dark by the film’s non-linear approach. However, at this point, I felt that the plot was presented in a way that was too ambiguous and disorganized for me to believe that this was the intention of the screenwriter. Irmak’s ability to generate a strong sense of nostalgia and family ties throughout the film is probably one of the film’s best aspects. This sets the stage for a powerful and touching central message.
Ultimately, that’s what I found most appealing about this film. In the end, it’s a film that emphasizes the significance of family and how family members can help each other through difficulty.
