An elementary-school-age scientist named Nichijou[1] is one of the numerous characters in Nichijou, a sweet and bizarre anime that has a variety of characters that combine to create one of the banalest yet lovely experiences.

Animated by Kyoto Animation, it was based on manga. It’s now on hiatus, and there’s no word on whether it’ll be back for another season. As of April 11, 2011, a Japanese version aired from April 11 to September 26, 2011.

Regular Japanese television networks no longer broadcast the show. Funimation has licensed and officially translated it into Japanese.

All the scenes in a category can be similar in terms of running gags or organization. For example, Helvetica Standard, Short Thoughts, and Things We Think are Cool are all examples of these categories.

Which Nichijou character are you?

You can choose from a wide variety of comedies based on school life. The “cute girls doing cute things” stories (Azumanga Daioh) and “crazy clubs” (Ouran High School Host Club) are among the most popular (My Neighbor Seki). Even though it’s called Nichijou: My Ordinary Life, it’s obviously in the latter category, and it rapidly reveals just how bizarre the world in which it exists is. Also, you will find out which Nichijou character are you in this quiz.

Our first encounter is with an obviously-a-robot robot, who ends up crashing into a human. A misunderstanding between Nano and an unlucky classmate leads to an explosion, which causes a cascade of debris to fall on the unfortunate student’s head. Both Nano and the student she collided with end up trapped in high places after Nano loses her hand. The Unlucky Girl (aka Yuuko) is also a little disappointed that no one has noticed her strange greeting. And that’s just the beginning!

There are two primary groups that Nichijou concentrates on. To begin, there is Yuuko, an enthusiastic idiot with an unrequited love, Mio, who has a secret crush on Yuuko, and Mai, a stoic, deadpan jokester. Another significant set of characters is Nano’s family life with her creator, the Professor. They also have a talking cat, named Sakamoto. Nano is a classmate of Yuuko and her pals, but they don’t actually become friends until later in the series.

About the quiz

Nano’s classmates and teachers are introduced in the manga, including the faux aristocrat, the ultimate Tsundere, the teacher who attempts to capture Nano and always fails, the mohawk guy who believes everything has a logical reason for it, the members of the go/soccer club and more. Despite the fact that the characters’ personalities were easy to remember, their names were more difficult to recall. This isn’t a deal-breaker by any means, but everyone has “that one character who…” Most difficult to characterize is Mai, who is a strange mix of capable, random, sneaky, and silent, as well as a real-life Internet troll.

In the majority of the stories, a trio of students named Mio, Yuuko, and Mai are featured as a group with one-word labels ascribed to them. While they’ll occasionally have to cope with Shinonome or Sasahara’s oddity, it’s not every day that they come into contact with it.

For instance, Aioi was in the hall as punishment, and while there, she was daydreaming about horrible haiku (which are all composed of the exact same five-syllable line, “Mogami River”). For as far as she can see, the principal is engaged in a life or death struggle with a deer. As the conflict rages on, she is getting continually slain, only to reappear and do something else.

The vast majority of the nineteen short stories feature jokes in which no actual weirdness outside of the character’s actions or thoughts is present and instead rely on characters realizing that another person is ignoring them while they are really just wearing headphones, or on awkward faculty welcome speeches.

Nichijou is an unusual comedy about high students’ regular lives. It can be “ordinary” if you put it in quotes.
