Sally’s retaliation
Despite Lila and Melody’s desperate pleas to flee the psycho killer, Sally uses them as bait to entice Leatherface to come out. When she confronts him, she is more concerned with reminding him of who she is than with killing him quickly.

She still manages to shoot him and gives her gun to Lila before dying, encouraging the young girl to kill him now or be haunted by him and thirst for vengeance like she was.

The hunt for the hunter
Melody tells Lila to get out of the car because she is trapped inside. Lila confronts Leatherface just as he is about to murder Melody.
