Selena Gomez, who was born on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas, got her start in show business with a two-year stint on the children’s show Barney and Friends. After a few film roles, Gomez appeared as a guest star on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana, both on the Disney Channel. She was cast as the lead in Wizards of Waverly Place in 2007, and she released her pop album, Kiss, & Tell in 2009.
