Let’s have a look at the soundtrack before we get into the story. As a rule, I only mention the music in an anime review if it is unusually awful or really good. I think the music in this example is outstanding. From Cowboy Bebop to Macross Frontier’s composer, Yoko Kanno, Terror in Resonance has music that is eerie and adds a sense of gravity and tension to the story. At the same time, this allows for the series’ emotional moments to shine through. Definitely worth checking out.

In Terror in Resonance, two youths, Nine and Twelve, stage a terrorist bombing attack on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. The anime has a great start. Lisa, a despondent high school student, discovers one of them midway through the execution of their plan. After a lengthy conversation, the two brothers decide to accept Lisa as a co-conspirator rather than kill her.

Editor’s Picks

Nine and Twelve’s subsequent terrorist assaults, disgraced Detective Shibazaki’s efforts to thwart those attacks, and Lisa’s pathetic attempts to figure out where she fits in with both the terrorists and the broader world in general, are all explored in the first half of the series.

Which Terror in Resonance character are you?

First-half episodes are built up like a weekly police procedural, with glimpses of the larger mystery strewn throughout each episode to keep you wanting more. Furthermore, a lot of time is spent fleshing out Detective Shibazaki, as well as the police and other characters, who all seem to be knowledgeable and engaging in general Watch it. It’s pretty darn entertaining. Also, you will find out which Terror in Resonance character are you in this quiz.

Terrorist assaults are intensifying and revealing their motives as time goes on. It was a series of unlawful experiments on Arata and Toji that led to their orphanage. What is their motivation?

A la Cowboy Bebop, Watanabe builds anticipation to an explosive conclusion that is both more and less than the traditional action-adventure explosion fest. The story’s resolution isn’t cheerful, but it’s true to the people, so it’s more satisfying to read about.

For example, evil businesses using children as test subjects with Japanese government complicity, technology misuse, US military intervention, right-wing political cabals, and alone anti-hero are anime staples that have been used for decades.
Watanabe, on the other hand, avoids the clichés, giving familiar materials a fresh perspective.

A cat-and-mouse game ensues between them and Five (Jamie Marchi), the only other survivor.

In a dystopian future where society has been devastated by a devastating terrorist strike, all that remains of the city of Tokyo is a nonsensical YouTube video hinting at the identity of the attackers. The police, unable to halt the paranoia spreading among the people, are at a loss as to what to do.

About the quiz

The true criminals are two toddlers who shouldn’t even exist, while the world is looking for a mastermind behind this tragedy. Stricken with the identities “Nine” and “Twelve,” they join to establish “Sphinx,” a secret entity dedicated to lifting the public from their deep sleep and activating the world’s demolition.

Terror in Resonance is one of Watanabe’s few forgettable animes, thus writing about it is difficult. At least, it was my initial impression. Yoko Kanno’s musical soundtrack and studio MAPPA’s superb production values raise this production above many others, even if it’s not as flashy or as strong as his past series. B: The Beginning character designer Kazuto Nakazawa offers this anime a plain, realistic style reminiscent of the real world.

From the very beginning, the series puts its best foot forward. When the anime initially aired, I recall seeing the show’s promotional image. He provoked controversy by posing the trio next to a skyscraper that looked similar to the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. Despite its problematic premise, this show has a certain sense of inspiration. Uncovering Nine and Twelve’s mystery or witnessing tight friendships being created in all the commotion might do it for you. There are a few moments of quiet and relaxation throughout the anime that help to balance out the tense periods.

Intrigue is created by the characters of Terror in Resonance. Twelve has a more open and carefree attitude than the nine who are emotionally detached and austere. Twelve appears to be the more hopeful of the two, but he isn’t afraid to intimidate anyone who stands in his way. V-O-N is their calling card, and together they form the terrorist pair Sphinx.
