After the first season aired on January 9, 2008, the second season aired on April 30, 2009, and so on. After the final episode aired on September 24, 2009, no official statement concerning a third season has been made. When the light novels ceased to be published in 2011, the loyal fan base lost all hope. It was in 2016 that Isuna Hasekura relaunched her writing career.
A third season of the anime has yet to be confirmed by the anime’s production companies. Chances of an anime revival have grown since the light novel series was restarted.
Kraft Lawrence is a traveling merchant who lives in medieval Europe. Lawrence suddenly intends to create his own shop with the money he gets from his job. Kenrou Horo, the town’s harvest deity, greets Lawrence as he travels through Pasloe.
Her human form is that of a wolf goddess. Because the people in Pasloe no longer believe in her, she wants to return to the mountains in the far north, where she believes she will be accepted. Assuming there is a third season of Spice and Wolf the tale will pick up where the second season left off with volume 5 of the light novel.

Kraft Lawrence is a 25-year-old traveling merchant who spends his days roaming the countryside from town to town, selling various wares, to earn a livelihood in a stylized, fictional world with a historical background. The primary objective of his life is to earn enough money to open his own business, and he has been on the road for seven years to do this.
Instead of a wolf’s tail and ears, she adopts the shape of a 15-year-old girl. She introduces herself as the town’s goddess of the harvest, who has ensured that it has always had bountiful harvests of wheat. In addition to the growing distance between the townsfolk and her protection, Holo has witnessed rising loneliness and disappointment amongst the townsfolk due to their move away from her protection in favor of their own means of improving the harvest.
Their lack of remembrance of the agreement they made with a farmer she had encountered on her journey home, as well as their insults about her as a “fickle deity” for having to continually restock the soil, deeply wound her. Fearing that her countrymen have forsaken her, she wishes to return to Yoitsu, where she claims the harvests have already been abandoned. While she has been in one spot for many years, Holo wishes to see various places throughout the world to see how the world has changed. She was able to work out a deal with Lawrence so that she could leave the town with him. Wisdom is helpful in increasing revenues but invites unwanted attention from the Church while she is on the road.
As a writer, Hasekura is unquestionably skilled, which is the very first reason I could ever adore a book.
About the quiz
There are some characteristics of this book that most fantasy novels lack. What’s that about? Economy. I’ve never seen a story with one of the main protagonists as a merchant before. This is probably the biggest reason why it’s selling so well. Also, you will find out which Spice and Wolf character are you in this quiz.
Even I appreciate the times where the two characters flirt with each other. When novels have romantic overtones to them, as a lesbian, I’ve grown to dislike them (in my opinion), but Hasekura knows how to blend them to keep the story entertaining, even for those who aren’t straight.
My fascination with the story and its characters is based on this fact. Spice and Wolf is the best novel I’ve ever read. And I’d be happy to read any other book you think can compete with it.
Kraft Lawrence is well aware that the life of a traveling trader is a lonely one. In his daily pattern of traveling from village to village with his horse, cart, and whatever goods he can find, Lawrence has very much settled into his routine-that is, until he discovers a sleeping wolf goddess in his cart. After growing tired of tending to harvests in the countryside, Holo agrees to help a merchant raise his profits by lending him the cleverness of “Holo the Wisewolf” in exchange for accompanying him on his travels. An offer like that would be unthinkable for any businessman. Unfortunately for Lawrence, having an old goddess as a travel companion is not always a good thing. What will happen when this wolf girl becomes too wild to tame?
