The series comprises five young people who gain superpower following a weird storm. These are not the peppy-style citizens of your Disney Channel model. If the Storm catches them, they’ve gotten their orange jumpsuits with a variety of poor behavior in a community service detail.
The Thursday night opener will be so premise-building that it doesn’t truly show how ambitious this series is. These five are not Ninja Turtles; they don’t necessarily have superpowers that produce their internal heroes. About the quiz
The most crucial thing about the first episode is to keep things straightforward. Perhaps eight or nine performers participate in various scenes, I guess. The episode is mostly composed of five major characters, who argue and discover their capabilities. All the power is basic – camera tricks and operations, nothing more intensive than sweeping Vaseline over camera lenses, requires special effects. The thunderstorm that confers on our heroes is a little piece of shoddy CGI, but it’s a few seconds on the screen. This is obviously one of his characters living and dying drama.
So, although I am presented as stereotypes, I was really glad that the characters are clichés that seem to have scope to evolve. Kelly, a ‘chav’ who acquires telepathy, and Nathan, a smartass whose mother (played by Michelle Fairley, also known as Cat Stark from Game of Thrones) kicks him off where it’s perfectly evident that his attitude is a defensive mechanism – and has no power after the première. He’s a problem, often humorous, often irritating character. He always speaks. I detest him kind of, but I’m laughing at a lot of his jokes, too. What Misfits character are you?
The other three are Curtis, who is known for a bit of coke and can turn his time back, and Alisha’s, the most widespread, overly sleepless, and social butterfly, with a remarkably awkward power of causing extreme sexual arousal in the people she touches. The three are Simon, a shy lady who becomes invisible when ignored.
