Toad

Toad is Princess Peach’s most devoted companion. Despite his feeble appearance, Toad goes out of his way to defend her, even if he is never able to prevent her many abductions. Toad has become one of the series’ most recognizable characters, because of his adorable appearance, kind and clumsy nature, and distinctive high-pitched voice.

Toad, like the majority of Mario’s companions, appears in practically every spin-off. However, he has yet to receive his own series. Toad did, however, take the lead in a few games, most notably Wario’s Woods, when he served as the main hero defending the Mushroom Kingdom.

Toad, Captain

Toads frequently appear as extras in Mario games. They aid, guide, and support Mario, and at times appear to be genuine cheerleaders. However, the franchise gradually increased its importance, culminating in the release of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Editor’s Picks

Captain Toad, who first appeared in Super Mario Galaxy, returns in this game. Captain Toad may be identified by his huge rucksack, which stops him from jumping, and the light he wears on his head. In Treasure Tracker, he and Toadette must complete a series of puzzle-based minigames in order to earn a golden star at the conclusion. Captain Toad possesses the adorable characteristics of his species, which helped him become one of Mario’s most appealing characters. Which Mario Character Are You?

Mario, Dr.

Mario wears a variety of outfits throughout the series. Fans frequently regard Dr. Mario as a separate character from Mario, even though he was originally just Mario in a doctor’s outfit.

Dr. Mario made his debut in his own game, Dr. Mario, released in 1990, which inspired a whole series, including the most recent title, Dr. Mario World. In the Super Smash Bros. series, Dr. Mario is also a playable character. Dr. Mario possesses a set of medical-related powers that distinguish him from the original Mario, enhancing his identity as a distinct character capable of standing on his own.

Wario

Even if he isn’t the main adversary of the series, Wario remains a worthy and scary foe for Mario. Wario, the literal polar opposite of Mario, is a greedy and slightly ugly creature driven by extreme selfishness. Nonetheless, he isn’t really “evil” and has evolved into more of an anti-hero over the years.

Wario is the star of multiple popular games, beginning with Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 in 1994 and its three successors. The character then debuted in Wario World and was the subject of another series, WarioWare, which generated nine sequels. Wario is also a playable character in Super Smash Bros., as well as a regular in every spin-off of the mainline Mario games.

Yoshi

Yoshi has been one of the franchise’s undeniable stars since his debut in the 1990’s Super Mario World. Critics see the bipedal dinosaur as one of Nintendo’s most iconic characters and one of the best sidekicks in video game history.

About the quiz

With the release of Yoshi’s Island in 1995, Yoshi became the star of a spin-off series. From then on, he continued to appear in his own titles, such as Yoshi’s Story, Yoshi’s New Island, Yoshi’s Woolly World, and Yoshi’s Crafted World. Yoshi can also be found in Mario Kart, Mario Party, several Mario Sports games, and Super Smash Bros.

Peach Princess

Peach, the ever-present damsel in peril, made her début in the first Super Mario Bros. game. Her role, however, has altered throughout time, and she now has the most video game appearances of any female character.

While Peach appears in every game in the Super Mario series, she is also the heroine of a spin-off, Super Princess Peach. Peach must rescue Mario and Luigi from Bowser’s clutches in a startling reversal of roles.

Luigi

For all intents and purposes, Luigi is the franchise’s second lead, serving as a deuteragonist in the Super Mario titles. Luigi is noticeably different from his brother; he is taller than Mario, shyer, unduly apprehensive, good-natured, and capable of controlling his emotions far better than his bigger sibling.

Luigi began gaining titles of his own in 1990, with the first being Luigi’s Hammer Toss. However, with the release of 2001’s Luigi’s Mansion, a game that inspired two sequels and solidified Luigi as one of Nintendo’s most endearing and beloved characters ever, the character attained a new level of acclaim.
