Ensemble Stars! is finally on the air after all this time! There are tears in the house when I went to see the first two episodes at a preview! Not because of the emotional content or anything, but simply because the original announcement three years ago is too long for us fans to wait.
What are Ensemble Stars, then? That might be an entire article. Just say, it’s a multimedia series that rotates around a smartphone game that was first released by card collection in 2015. Although you may make a stick in current days, there are more 2D idol smartphone games, EnStars is probably one of the most iconic because of its stunning art, its ever-expanding tale, and, probably most significantly, its eclectic character roster.
Since mid-2016, I’ve been playing Ensemble Stars! therefore I’m one of those fans that were fairly passionate about the teaser! I have been in some events as a player during my time, like displays, themed cafes, concerts, and more, but it’s still amazing to finally be anime. Now I can admit, but I’m a MASSIVE admirer of Ryuseitai Kanata Schinkai, to the extent that some people could assume I worship him. My desk is decorated with Santa goods here at the MANGA.tokyo office and it’s only the tip of the iceberg. I’m also quite glad to mention in the game that I’ve got every Kanata card… And that wasn’t easy (or cheap…) Kanata won’t feature in the main tale anyway, thus he probably won’t talk much in the mood. But don’t worry (!?), for every split second I will be squeezing and squealing here in the reviews.

The story so far is honestly… What should I use? What word should I use? Bubblegum? Is that something? Is that something? Significantly it’s pleasant, it has a wonderful tempo, but it doesn’t say much at the same time – that’s Ensemble Stars! The tale is about introducing most male characters in the first three episodes and about presenting the way the school functions simultaneously. There was nothing so deep and Trickstar members in three episodes were able to “launch” a revolution, train with some strong brands, and they’re ready to battle against their first opponent, the school council unit, in episode four. I mean, it almost looks that in episode four the Anime will finish. Naturally, I am very sure that from that fight the plot will evolve. That was the sensation I received, nonetheless. It was too rushed and too vacuous. But somewhere from someone who played the game, I saw a comment and they mentioned that in the future, it gets better. So I look forward to this! I look forward to it!
Yes, even though it is that simple that it’s practically infantile, I’m looking forward to continuing to watch the Anime. The reality is, the remainder is quite nicely done, except character development.
About the quiz
The music is good first of all! And it’s quite excellent when I say good! Not only have I never skipped the opening, but the music of the units is wonderfully created. I could meet four different groups – Trickstar, UNDEAD, AKATSUKI, and Ra*bits – till episode three. I found myself smoking, dancing, singing, each with its particular sound. In addition, all the men are adorable.
I guess Dynamic Chord continues to terrorize my head anytime I see anything linked to male idols. That’s possibly why I began looking at Emsemble Stars without waiting much for that ‘great’ experience! However, the Anime has great animation. Everything appears nice enough, and beyond the average, I’ve experienced this year, ranging from character design to background, movement, while characters sing their songs. Moreover, the CGI looked fantastic and well mixing in the following episodes, however, I favor traditional rather than 3D choreographies as in the first episode. You can see the difference, of course, but I saw it far worse.
As the choreographs are for the rhythm game, using them for the Anime makes sense. It’s time-saving, money-saving, and it looks excellent, and so I don’t see any problem. Have I also said the lads are adorable? Oh, well, I did… I did… Saying this again is never enough! It’s male, perhaps even more than one, for every taste.
