At least one person dies every month until graduation. April is when the disasters begin, and they don’t stop. As the twins are getting ready for bed, Misaki tells them that she is only able to support herself by working at a tofu business to cover her bills. Then, she falls asleep. Misaki herself is quick to assert that she and the rest of the siblings are in fact part of a real family, lifting her head slightly and allowing her hair to drop away from her fake doll’s eye. When Mei sees the color of death on her twin sister, she recoils in terror.
