Clarice tells Buffalo Bill to Lecter and impresses her analysis on her. But Lecter felt insulted and he sent her away via the FBI questionnaire which she gave him. Lecter offers support and a cryptic picture after a prisoner insults Clarice (to put it kindly), in a nearby cell.
Clarice is led to a storage area where she does not find any lambs – one of Lecter’s old patients, a terrible head. Buffalo Bill, meaning Bill knows Bill’s identity, said Lecter didn’t murder him. But he’s not going to divulge anything unless Clarice finds a method to remove him. It would be great anywhere. Anywhere.
