The matrix opens with a photo of a computer screen that shows that a telephone call is being pursued, while we hear voices talking on the telephone line about “the One.” Police enter a motel room and contend with the calling party: Trinity, a computer hacker with leather covering. Trinity sends all of them with kung-fu movements that defy their gravity. Reinforcements arrive in the form of Agents who command the scene and try to catch the Trinity in business suits with ear radios and sunglasses. They are following the Trinity through an unnamed city. The Agents and the Trinity are more than human.

Editor’s Picks

They dash through abandoned rooftops and jump across city blocks and Trinity dives across the streets via a window. The pursuit ends on the lonely street in a phone booth. Trinity responds and disappears by a ringing phone. The agents comment on their odd absence and talk about their next goal, Neo. Next, driven by an agent, the garbage truck destroyed the stand.

Then we observe the character of Keanu Reeve sleeping at his desk. He wakes up the texts on his computer display. The texts call him Neo, from an unknown source. Neo is selling illicit software, and right before a customer knocks on Neo, Neo is sent a “White Rabbit Follow” message to “Knock, Knock, Neo,” on the screen. The puzzled Neo sees a tattooed wad on the customer’s girlfriend’s shoulder when he delivers his wares to the client, and hears the message and follows them to a techno-goth club. Trinity comes up to Neo there. But Trinity reveals that she knows everything about him. You must try to play this The Matrix quiz.

She knows that he is looking for something called the Matrix and suspects it. The club scene brilliantly makes way for an alarm clock blaring. In a beginning, Neo wakes in his own bed. For work, he’s late.

He’s just you’re a world-class guy-type hacker-type software coder. This is until he was visited by a few strange persons, of whom he would hear rumors, namely Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss).

First, a delightful little rendezvous with some secret guys who look at Agent Smith who does not make him that lovely things since they want to go to Morpheus. He encounters Morpheus and Trinity at last, however. And he realizes that his reality is not exactly what he believed to be. It’s only a computer program that he knows as reality all of his life.

About the quiz

Things begin to become ugly then. The hidden agents converge and grab Morpheus before they can leave the Matrix. It turns out that Cypher (Joe Pantoliano) has betrayed one of their crew members so that he can go back to the Matrix. To prevent them from unplugs Morpheus, Cypher tries to kill the rest of the crew to enable them to extract codes from their minds to Zion’s mainframe. But Cypher fails, and Neo and Trinity return to release the enemy’s friend and mentor.

On the other hand, behind the illusion, there are no flesh-and-blood animals — only a computer program that can think and learn. Only a computer program. In a high-stakes computer game, the agents primarily operate as opponents. The film does not explain clearly why the Matrix-making program came up with all this difficulty. Certainly, running is its own reward for a program, but intelligent software might lead to awful conclusions. Which The Matrix character are you?

Both ‘Dark City’ and the ‘Strange Days’ gave fascinating villainy reasons. ‘Matrix’ is more like a super-heroic comic book in which the destiny of the world is a titanic clash of the good and the bad representatives. It is truly terrible to put tedious concepts on the table and then to seek applause and a duel for martial arts to satisfy the audience. Suppose Neo wins. Let’s assume. So what about the billion which were just “unplugged” from the matrix? What happens? Have they got employment yet? Homes? Identities? All we get is a riddle-class exhortation at the end of the film.
