Each contestant’s performance is judged at the end of this session, and they are given a rating out of 10. If you’ve ever wondered how this rating known as PSR is computed, we’ve got all the details right here. On ‘Naked and Afraid,’ here’s all you need to know about PSR.

Psr Rating Quiz

What is Naked and Afraid’s PSR System?
PSR, which stands for Primitive Survival Rating, is the criterion used by specialists to assess the survival skills of individuals. PSR is calculated using three major elements of performance: primitive skills, mental strength, and experience. These three categories can be further subdivided into specialized survival talents. As viewers are aware, surviving in the woods is a difficult endeavor that necessitates a large amount of expertise. The experience category is made up of a survivor’s book knowledge and hands-on experience. A participant must have the practical and theoretical knowledge required for survival in order to get a high PSR score. However, when computing the PSR, the former is deemed more relevant.

The capacity of a survivalist to get survival essentials, primarily fire, food, water, and shelter, is represented by the skill category. Whether it’s starting a fire from scratch in damp and humid weather, scavenging, foraging, or hunting for food, finding a source of clean drinking water, or creating a shelter to defend oneself from all kinds of dangers in the wild, all of these are considered fundamental basic survival abilities. A spectacular display of such abilities can significantly boost a participant’s PSR.

About the quiz

The third and last component that contributes to a survivalist’s PSR is their mental strength. The resilience, attitude, teamwork, and ingenuity of participants are continuously monitored. The manner in which a survivalist perseveres in the face of extremely difficult conditions, the attitude with which they approach situations, the manner in which they work with their partners and think outside the box to find creative solutions, all of these factors can increase or decrease a survivalist’s PSR.

There are three levels on the PSR scale: novice, intermediate, and expert. A score of 7 or higher usually shows expert survival skills, while a score of 3 or lower is considered a novice. A score between 3 and 7 indicates an intermediate level of performance. The highest final PSR ever obtained by a survivalist is 9.1. EJ “Skullcrusher” Snyder and Laura Zerra both got the score, making them equal top achievers.

It is vital to remember that, as with most reality competitions, the PSR is a hazy system for judging the contestants that vary from situation to instance. You may absolutely do your own calculations while watching ‘Naked and Afraid‘ now that you understand the fundamentals of the PSR.
