It wasn’t until this version began traveling from city to city that it starting appearing on Ten Best lists. With eighty-three minutes added, you may be wondering how a film could appear so different. Even when The Seven or Children of Paradise were displayed in extremely reduced forms. It was simple to see their brilliance. The solution to this question is actually two-fold. That again, this is not the kind of work those films were. It’s instead a bold effort by an unusual artist who requires the opportunity to sprawl – sometimes self-indulgently, and sometimes gloriously.
This murderous instinct gave Leone’s narrative its cohesion and guttural, poetic power.
In its original theatrical run, The Godfather was an attempt to add a yarmulke to the story of Jewish criminals Siegel and Meyer, who start out as drunks and reach their apogee as bootleggers during Prohibition.

About the quiz
It’s easy to see that his abrupt leaving demonstrates a lack of respect for the audience. As early as the mid-1960s, the brilliant Italian director Sergio Leone established himself as the father of spaghetti westerns with his Dollars trilogy, which starred Clint Eastwood. The Once Upon a Time trilogy, which includes Once Upon a Time in the West, Duck, You Sucker!, and Once Upon a Time in America, spanned three decades.
Leone read Harry Grey’s semi-autobiographical novel The Hoods in the 1960s. Goldberg, a former Russian-American mobster, reluctantly consented to meet Leone since he had watched and admired his Westerns. It was reasonable that due to his prior lifestyle and the inevitable, justified paranoia that accompanied it, the filmmaker queried Grey/Goldberg about his real-life experiences.
It was during this period that Leone and the author met numerous more times, with Leone’s goal being to better comprehend the author’s vision of America. As a result, when Paramount approached him some years later, Leone declined to produce The Godfather. Unbeknownst to the filmmaker, it would take another ten years for him to complete his passion project, which would be his last.
