Life Is Strange Quiz – Which Character Are You?

Take this Life Is Strange quiz to find out which character you are. We update the quiz regularly and it’s the most accurate among the other quizzes.

Video games have provided us with some fantastic characters and stories. This medium has given us some remarkable moments and personalities, from the naïve charm of Mario to the complexity of Solid Snake, and from the severity of the predicament confronting Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us to the existential problems of System Shock.

Few stories, however, can claim to have elicited as much emotion and abiding adoration as Life is Strange. The story of Max Caulfield, her selfish-but-sensitive buddy Chloe, their missing friend Rachel, and the community of Arcadia Bay is one of the most powerful ever told by a video game.

Editor’s Picks

Life is Strange: Before the Storm, which was unveiled at E3 2017, serves as a prequel to Chloe and Max’s story and promises to shed more light on how events came to be the way they did. In anticipation of the release of Before the Storm, we’ve compiled a summary of the story given by Life is Strange, focusing on the important characters and how their, and your, actions, influenced the plot.

What happened to Rachel? Is she no longer alive? These are the questions that propel the main plot of Life is Strange forward. Different suspects who may have been involved in Rachel’s disappearance appear and disappear, but it is never obvious who is to blame until the game’s conclusion. Nathan Prescott, a student at the Blackwell Academy where the whole teen cast attends, is the obvious-it-can’t-be-him perpetrator highlighted at the beginning of the game, but he’s proven to be without enough of a sense of purpose to act alone in anything he does. Mr. Jefferson, Max Caulfield’s photography teacher, turns out to be the actual evil after all. He has a penchant for grabbing gifted art students, imprisoning them, and photographing them before disposing of them.

Mr. Jefferson shoots Max’s best friend, Chloe, in the head, murdering her, in one of the most shocking moments of Life Is Strange. The decisive choice Life is Strange invites you to make is whether or not to use Max’s ability to rewind time to save Chloe.

About the quiz

Shannon: In terms of the narrative’s view on anxiousness, you made an excellent point. In terms of the characters, Alex is also incredibly hilarious and smart, making her a lot of fun. However, we don’t receive as much of her biography as I would have liked until much later in the game.

The story structure of this game does not sit well with me. You believe the narrative is about one thing, and then it eventually reveals to you what it’s truly about near the conclusion, and you’re completely taken aback.

Jhaan: Yes! That finale came completely out of nowhere, but we’ll keep that spoiler debate for another day. What did you think of the game’s overall gameplay, particularly the “reading people’s emotions” superpower?

Personally, I liked the mechanic a lot more than I expected to. You immediately realize that it’s not just reading one emotion; it’s more like reading a person’s thinking and seeing the emotion they’re feeling while reading it, which greatly improves the narrative and smoothes out the plot.
