“Jumanji” is spread as an amusement for the holiday season, with commercials showing Robin Williams in his eye. The film itself can lead children to flee or hide in the arms of their parents. Those who sit all the way through it will probably throw and turn nightmares prompted by their fearful visions. Children must think of stern things. A mysterious worker demands “What if someone digs this up?” “Aid them, God!” he said.
We flash in till 1969 when a little child named Alan finds his chest on a building site and starts to find a “Jumanji” board game. He’s attracted by the magical qualities of the game straightaway. The board pieces are moving. Ghostly letters floating into a foggy lens communicate in the game. And a cloud of bats attacks Alan.

The original Jumanji starts in 1869 and presents a massive wood box in the woods of Brantford in New Hampshire, in a dead-night time, which two brothers called Caleb and Benjamin buried. Benjamin falls into the hole and tribal tambours appear to have come from the box itself, as they start filling the hole around the box. “This is behind me!” In terror, Benjamin cries, crying out from the hole. He attempts to go but Caleb stops him stressing that before they leave, they have to finish burying the box. That’s how we get the first look at the board game in Jumanji. We never get to know anything more about where it came from, although it seems improbable, given how the brothers act. It appears more likely that Caleb and Benjamin happened to play by coincidence, just like the other characters later in the cinema, and learned only of their magic powers and lethal stakes once they began to play. The movies never tell us about who created Jumanji and why.
