The game starts in 2011 when the protagonist (named after the player) is transported from the big city to the remote town of Inaba while his parents work abroad. He lives in the Yasogami High school where he becomes friends with Chie Satonaka, Yukiko Amagy, and Yosuke Hanamura. With his uncle Ryotara Dojima and with his younger cousin Nanako Dojima.
