Wit Studio’s Seraph of the End fans have been eagerly anticipating the third season for what seems like an eternity. An original 24-episode season of the anime adaptation of Takaya Kagami’s manga series Owari no Seraph was planned, but it was later split into two 12-episode seasons named Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign and Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya instead. From April to June of 2015, the first season aired, while the second lasted from October to December of the same year. However, the likelihood of a third season has increased in recent months.
Season two ended with an unresolved cliffhanger. It’s possible that this is soon to change.

Chapter 75 in Volume 19 is one of my favorite chapters in the book. One of Yūichirō’s closest friends and colleagues, Shinoa, is combating the first progenitor of the Demon Army, Shikama Dōji, in the headquarters of the Demon Army. The vampires and the Hyakuya Sect descend on Shibuya at the same time the First has returned and all of the pieces are in place. Meanwhile, locked within his own head with Asuramaru, Yūichirō experiences his previously lost memories and learns more about his strange past.
Despite having several moving elements and plots going on. Kagami really builds up the story’s suspense in Seraph of the End, Vol.19. There are at least four storylines going on at the same time, making for a total of four separate stories.
Thankfully, Kagami is able to weave the plot back together. Resulting in greater action scenes and even more plot developments in the following volume.
