The viewpoint and discrimination on the mixtures generate obstacles in the life of Ginny that lead to certain adolescent troubles in her life. They like feeling lonely at times.
Now that the mother and the son relocate to the new city, their new life begins with new people around them. At school, Ginny first makes some friends, but they have similar teenage issues and they fight their own war.
