Arjun Pathak (Kartik Aaryan) and Saumya Mehra Pathak (Mrunal Thakur), both journalists, appear to be quite happy in their marriage. However, they are currently on the verge of divorce.
Arjun has been demoted from being a full-time journalist to a radio jockey. When he receives a call from someone named Raghubeer Mhata claiming to have put up a bomb near the Sea Link in Mumbai, he becomes enraged since he believes it is a joke.
The explosion occurs, and Arjun and his squad are scared. He calls the cops, but when he realizes the potential for a prime-time exclusive, he relents and contacts his employer, Ankita Malaskar (Amruta Subhash).
He offers her this information in exchange for regaining his prime-time status at TRTV. She accepts, and he begins broadcasting from the radio room.
Raghubeer admits that he ruined the Sea Link because he worked on its construction in 2000, and when he and his coworkers were requested to repair it a few years ago, three of them fell into the water and drowned.

To make matters worse, the producer of his radio show told the competing journalist that he chose an exclusive over calling the cops.
As the ratings reach 70%, Ankita is appointed as the channel’s director, and she departs, but not before informing Arjun that he would not be the Prime Time Journalist.
Tragic events occur.
Saumya requests that Raghubeer release all of the women and children, and he complies. When she tells him that she wishes he got his apologies from the government because apologizing doesn’t make anyone smaller, Arjun agrees, apologizing to her indirectly for stealing the report.
Both speak during the feed and make references to being together again after all of this is over, but then another blast hits, and the channel loses contact with her, and Arjun fears the worst.

He claims that all he wanted was an apology before being shot by a nearby sniper.
In an unexpected turn of events, the rival news channel alleges that Anand was a chemical engineer and explosives specialist and that Arjun collaborated with him to obtain the exclusive, using fabricated sources.
