The basic idea
As you may be aware, FNAF 4 places you in the shoes of a child who must survive the terrors that lurk inside a house every night.

It’s unclear who you are or what your situation is at this moment, but the whole thing is unsettling. Whereas previous FNAF games eased you into the sense that something horrible was going on, FNAF4 leaps straight into it. And, at this point, why shouldn’t it? About the quiz
One of the most noticeable mechanical differences in Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 is that you are not static, sitting in one position. You can actually sprint up to the doors on your side in the following manner:
Once you’re up there, the game instructs you to keep an ear out for breathing. If you hear breathing, you must keep the door closed. If you don’t have one, you can use a flashlight to look down the hall. This, too, feels like a significant departure for the series: the tension between looking into the darkness, listening for sounds, and opting to shine a light is enticing. Sometimes I can’t help but pause for a second or two, wondering if I really want to see what’s up ahead. Is that anything I heard? The whole scenario reminds me of when I was a kid and the scariest thing in the world was mustering the bravery to walk down a dark hallway to use the restroom. It was something I struggled with on a regular basis. However, in FNAF4, the only way to move on is to confront that fear head-on.
Being trapped inside a house is also inherently frightening. Domesticity is supposed to be a safe sanctuary, but what about at night? Everything is off the table. Few things can give you chills like wandering through seemingly benign spaces, such as a child’s playhouse.
