Stand By Me Doraemon 2 Quiz – Which Character Are You?

By:

Take this Stand By Me Doraemon 2 Quiz to find out which character you are. We update the quiz regularly and it’s the most accurate among the other quizzes.

I used to move between TV stations as a kid to watch relevant anime shows. Doraemon was always my least favorite of the group at the time. Nobita’s callousness always irritated me as a fairly obedient parent’s boy. The boy is a slacker who refuses to take on any responsibility and consistently fails his examinations. For me, those are the characteristics of bad boys, and my idea of being an obedient kid prevented me from imitating Nobita’s actions. After 16 years, I am finally an adult, and my perspective has shifted dramatically. At the time, I came across Nobita again, only to reimagine the character through maturational emotions.

Editor’s Picks

Please support me. Doraemon 2 depicts this maturity with great attention and accuracy. Directors Ryuichi Yagi and Takashi Yamazaki successfully make Nobita an evolved character breaking the caustic and uncomfortable demeanor based on the short films Doraemon: A Grandmother’s Recollection and The Day When I Was Born. The plot centers around Nobita’s birthday, when he is chastised by his mother for failing to present her his test results. Saddened by this, he complains that his parents often chastise him and suspects that he is not their biological son. Suddenly, he discovers a family album in which he discovers a photograph of her grandmother. Nobita remembers how loving his grandma is to him and begs Doraemon to take him back in time to see her again. When they arrive, his grandma recognizes Nobita and expresses her want to see his bride. Nobita and Doraemon are moved to Nobita’s future, where the marriage ceremony of Nobita is place. However, when they arrive, they discover that the adult Nobita has fled, so they embark on an expedition to find him.

Despite bringing back childhood memories for me, this film is not just for kids. A certain level of maturity is required to really immerse yourself in it. The creators brilliantly highlight the deep emotional connection with the family and the challenges of growing up. Themes of disillusionment, friendship, the significance of family, and accepting our own selves are vividly displayed with maximum sincerity, with a sprinkling of science-fiction thrown in for good measure. I can’t help but cry near the end of the film because it gets too personal.

Because I don’t watch a lot of anime and haven’t seen the prior movies, I had a lot of reservations about Stand by Me Doraemon 2. However, after watching it on Christmas Eve afternoon, I can’t help but suggest it to everyone.

About the quiz

No matter how old we get, there will always be a part of us that is a scared, fragile child who wants to be comforted. And this is exactly what Stand By Me Doraemon 2 plays on, presenting us a grown-up Nobita (Megumi Oohara) who is still very much the same youngster that we all know and love. 3D animation has also advanced dramatically since its 2014 predecessor, and it shows.

Stand By Me Doraemon 2 is a 3D animated sequel to the 2014 film Stand By Me Doraemon. It follows Nobita as he travels back in time to meet his grandmother, all while attempting to make her proud of him. The film also depicts Nobita and Shizuka’s wedding, along with the usual escapades in which the protagonist is always involved. Finally, the only one who can save Nobita this time is Nobita himself.

Watching Nobita marry is undoubtedly the film’s biggest payout, especially for lifelong Doraemon fans. We all know he’ll end up with Shizuka (Yumi Kakazu), but seeing it play out on film makes us experience all kinds of emotions. It also helps that Nobita is uncomfortable in every way, both as a child and as an adult. This discomfort is a wonderful nod to his weakness, and by extension, to our vulnerability. Even if he’s becoming an adult by marrying, it doesn’t imply he’s got everything sorted out – far from it — and this resonates with anyone who’s, well, an adult. Unfortunately, it is this awkwardness that leads to a slew of other issues later in the film.
