The fine film tries with an important plot at the center of the movie to gather small sub-plots. However, most films do not balance the protagonist’s mini-quests. Subplots can get too heavy, distracting the protagonist’s main search and sometimes too weak to change their presence. But The Dry, led by Robert Connolly, contains a significant fraction of each stratum.
The Dry is an Australian thriller drama based on the book of the same name by Jane Harper. The film portrays the dry Australian town excellently where the events are taking place. Highlights of the film are the shattered countryside and the parched souls.
Also, Australian Federal Agent Aaron Falk (Eric Bana) is back to Luke Hadler’s burial at his hometown in Kiewarra, Australia. After killing his wife, Karen, and little son, Luke murdered himself and only left Charlotte, his baby daughter. Luke’s father asks Aaron to visit the funeral. Aaron feels threatened. He sends a letter to Aaron that links the misguided history of Luke and Aaron.
