“A Scandal in Bohemia” begins with Watson reminding her of Irene Edler and of Sherlock Holmes’ amazement. Watson, busy in his new household, has been unable for a long time to attend Sherlock so he has no news of his friend save what he reads in the newspaper. When he is passing his former address, he decides to see him. His observations from his clothes impress Sherlock again and receive him. He tells Watson his riddle-like customer who calls them to wear a mask. But the King of Bohemia, Holmes, deduces his identity.
The King tells Holmes of Irene Adler, a past paramour, who has a photograph of them that she wants to use as a chastisement. The case is accepted by Holmes. The next day Holmes spies on Irene and watches her marriage with Gordon Norton, her lawyer, incidentally. That night, with Watson’s aid, he can frighten her of a fire that will bring her into disclosure. The following day, when the two kings and pals came into their house to seek the photo, they discovered that she had already left the identity of Holmes. The photograph was intended as political insurance and not as blackmail that the King guarantees.

One day he finds Watson in front of a robust red-headed man named Jabez Wilson when he visits Holmes. In the Red-Headed League, Wilson tells about his hired by Duncan Ross based on colored hair, where his minimal job was given a huge amount of money.
