After weeks of buildup to the “Modern Family” finals, the last few episodes were unlikely to end. In addition, it is unusual to believe that they had not had enough time. Of course, the documentary, “The Modern Farewell” was one of those hours, and looked back upon ABC Sitcom’s landmarks (five Emmy awards for Best Comedy Series!) and shockingly downs! But the finishing was essentially divided into two objectives: to surprise the people with the move to Missouri (not to mention Dunphy kids leaving the parents’ house), with Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchells (Ferguson), and to then let these characters say good-bye without becoming too sentimental. The “modern family” final struggled to unite its warm and hearty story about the unbreakable relations of the family with the uncontrollable realities of people who want different things, although this latter point is appreciated — too many of them betray their roots at the end and are laying on the waterworks. (The program has got the latter correct in its prime, again and over again.)

If the “modern family” lost a step over the years – and that was the case. (OK, not quite true. This is not completely true. It attempts to retrieve the basic rat-a-tat rhythms of the program by illustrating how chaotic the Dunphy household became when three grown-up kids (and two grandkids) lived under one roof. Luke hurried to use a toilet and slammed the door into his father’s foot with his mother yelling up the steps and his sisters going between rooms. What Modern Family character are you?

Co-creators Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd sought to reflect the characters’ sensations of loyal viewers friendly to the Dunphys. The Pritchett’s and the tucker-Pritchett for more than 250 episodes.

“When people say farewell somehow, Chris and I always appreciated finales. Since this is what the audience is doing,” Levitan explains. The objective is “To provide you with a strong, amusing episode that feels authentic, and I think everyone wants you with this emotional sendoff.”
