Without a doubt, Toby Fox’s game, Undertale, has been a huge success since its release. The following has gotten so large that numerous groups of fans have banded together to produce multiple fan stories that aren’t canon in Toby’s Undertale world, but we fans believe they can be entertaining.

Inktale
Or, as we know it, Ink, is a universe built by Comyet that, from what I’ve seen, comprises a variant of Sans. He has a brush that, when combined with his “Ink abilities,” can construct portals through every other AU and life within them. Flowerfell
Flowerfell is well-known for its depressing theme. This narrative, written by Siviosanei, claims that after every reset of the story, Frisk, the main character in most Undertale AUs, will sprout a buttercup flower from his body.
It’s tragic that he dies so many times that even Sans, who undoubtedly believed the worst of him, ceases his harsh behavior and desire to kill the human. Flowerfell’s inhabitants become one of those who feel compassion for a poor living being, which is why one grows to adore them.
Outertale
This magnificent cosmos built by 2mi127 is one of my favorites, not because of a tale, but because of the setting’s beauty. To put it simply, it features the story of Undertale but takes place in space! When I see things about them, it has such a lovely mood, and it just makes me appreciate the original timeline even more.
Errortale
Much to Inktale, Errortale by Lover Of Piggies is most commonly seen online as Error!Sans. There isn’t much to say about its story (it was supposed to be about a glitch in the original Undertale’s code) because it has been in hiatus for a long time, but it’s extremely cool to watch how the fandom has given Error!Sans a personality, especially when this character crosses over to other AU’s.

Underfell
The most appealing aspect of this AU by… Um, Underfell Tumblr user is that the characters from the original timeline / plot have twisted personalities that are diametrically opposed to what we’ve seen in the game.
The monsters, who are nice and charming in the original, are harsh, malicious, and desire blood to be spilt, whereas Flowey merely wants everyone to survive rather than being the demonic flower from the original. Fun fact: This is referred to as Edgetale for obvious reasons.
Aftertale
Another sad one by Lover Of Piggies. Here, our beloved Sans is being tortured by Chara, who continues resetting the timeline and going down the genocidal path. He realizes, after many attempts, that instead of dying, he can leave in the gap of the SAVE screen. We fans have grown to admire Geno (dubbed Sans by the fandom due to his only being on the genocide route) because of how much he likes every character when he appears in other AUs, such as the one below.
CPAU
Christmas Party AU, written by Lover Of Piggies, is set in the vacuum where Geno resides. He inadvertently invites all Papyrus and Sans from all AUs to a Christmas celebration.
I believe it is still running, so I don’t have much to say about it, but just know that if you go read it (or watch it, I like the Starbot Dubs voice-acted version), you will undoubtedly fall in love with at least one Sans and one Papyrus.
