The ideological ideals of the picture are so obvious that “The Man Who Sold His Skin” can be difficult to discover political excitement or openness. In fact, in terms of their insights about identity and class, the machinations of the Sam Ali issue are sometimes grossly simplistic. On the face, Ben Hania aims to stress that Ali vends a part of his humanity in return for the right he should already have as a human being and shows permanent political graffiti on his body out of despair to privileged audiences.

A nice scenario from the early times of the film is particularly beautiful and startlingly captured when the duo declares love for each other by train and starts with a small celebration among all other passengers.
Ben Hania exhibits her visual plume elsewhere with her filmmaker Christopher Aoun, by combining brilliant color, sleek compositions, and reflexes to enhance her art-centered narrative. Although the movie hardly breaks any new ground, “The Man Who Sold His Skin” is nonetheless a breezy look and a certain filmmaker gently leads it in a raw, gritty, all-around story.

By turning it into a kind of commerce, he can now restore his humanity and freedom, according to the laws of our day. This is a paradox, is it not?”
