It turns out that she’s not only battling to save the human race, but she’s also in a much wider conflict. The character of Laurent’s pod is a famous but controversial scientific man named Elizabeth Hansen (AKA Liz) and using a flash in the memory, she discovers that she married a man called Leo (Malik Zidi), who died of a mystery ailment. She also recalls several test rats, whose dull destiny continuously recalls her own difficulty in seeking a route out of this impossible mental labyrinth.

The closing of the film Oxygen shows that Earth’s inhabitants die from a virus, and Liz is indeed a clone of Elizabeth Hansen, a part of the 10,000 people’s mission to transport 14 light-years of Earth to populate a planet. Liz successfully deviates from the disaster scenario procedure to the one that assures that her brain functions are under review.
However, Liz’s cryo sleeping status would afford the system sufficient time to oxygenate its pot before resuscitation. Finally, on this new planet, the clones of Leo and Liz are joined by the survivors and a new human colony was founded.

Liz also contacts an elderly lady she would locate when she phones MILO’s number to the Leo file. This ancient woman finally informs Liz that she is hundreds of kilometers from the earth, in space. She is part of an army-led effort to find a new habitat for the human race that will die in two generations.
