For high-budget comedies, it is not entirely a vindication, because it is still true. As a general rule, that the more you spend, the less you laugh. However, it wisely spends its money, and if this, ahem, monster marches down Manhattan Avenue and goes up the side of the skyscraper, we’re delighted that they spent the funds for special effects because it has been laughing of the biggest in many years.
