Best TV Series to Watch If You Like Vampires

By:

According to folklore, there’s a certain charm vampires have that will make you drawn to them. Well, if that’s true, then it’s probably why millions of people are becoming addicted to vampire TV series and movies. Even though these actors and actresses aren’t really vampires in real life, there’s something about the stories, the mystery, and the thrill of it all that we’ve loved over the years. We’re not sure why you’re here – you’re probably looking for your next vampire fix or you’re just starting to explore this genre.

Regardless, we don’t intend to disappoint. Here, we’re going to share our top vampire TV series for you to watch. We’ve spent countless hours watching TV series about vampires, and these topped our list. Just make sure that when you decide to binge-watch any of these series, you have a fast internet connection like the one from HughesNet. Let’s stop beating around the bush and get on with it!

  1. The Vampire Diaries
    (8 seasons, 171 episodes)

This list wouldn’t be complete without the classic vampire series, The Vampire Diaries. If you haven’t watched it yet (which we highly doubt), it’s about a high school girl named Elena Gilbert, dealing with a tough time after losing her parents. High school drama starts when a new handsome student arrives named Stefan Salvatore. The catch? He’s a vampire. And as if one vampire isn’t enough, he’s with his older brother named Damon. Elena finds herself caught in a love triangle with the Salvatore brothers – plenty of teen drama indeed.
  2. The Originals
    (5 seasons, 92 episodes)

This Vampire Diaries spin-off TV series is about the world’s first vampires. The Mikaelson siblings, consisting of Elijah, Klaus, and Rebekah returned to New Orleans, the city they helped found centuries ago. Unfortunately, their homecoming isn’t as warm as they thought. Their old friend runs the city, and there are witches, werewolves, and even their own past causing problems. The siblings’ unique personalities don’t help as well, which complicates things even more.

This series has 92 episodes, which means you’ll spend weeks watching this series. It originally aired on The CW, but it’s also available on Netflix. Hopefully, it’ll be available on other streaming platforms like Dish TV and Sling TV.
  3. Shadowhunters
    (3 seasons, 56 episodes)

Before you start, there are two versions of Shadowhunters – the film and the TV series. In our opinion, the TV series is much better than the movie counterpart. Shadowhunters is based on a book about Clary Fray, a teenager who discovered that she’s not so normal after all. She comes from a line of Shadowhunters, half-angel warriors who protect the world from demons. With her newfound shadowhunter friends, she starts exploring this dark and dangerous world to find her kidnapped mom and be one of the best hunters out there.

Honestly, we think that Shadowhunters deserve more recognition. It’s available for watching on several streaming platforms, such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, ABC, and more. Hopefully, it’ll be available on Spanish TV and other services so more people can watch it.
  4. Van Helsing
    (5 seasons, 65 episodes)

Vanessa Helsing wakes up from a coma, only to find out that the world was taken over by vampires. Little did she know, she’s the key to solving this big of a problem because she’s a descendant of the famous vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing. How? Great question. When a vampire bites her, they’ll become human again. That’s why she’s a lethal weapon against these bloodsuckers. The biggest question becomes: can she save the world without succumbing to the very darkness she’s destined to destroy? That’s for you to find out.

Wrapping Up

There are a lot of vampire TV series out there, but these shows hit the right spots for us, and we’re pretty confident that your craving for some vampire action will be satisfied when you watch these shows. These all have many seasons and episodes, so it’ll be enough to entertain you for months – just to give us more time to watch more shows and update this list. Be sure to come back by then. Happy streaming!
