He was transferred to an asylum, where he was met by Father Vogler (Richard Frank) who told his story to Salieri. Also, like the much younger, famous Mozart, Salieri wanted to be a composer. But his father was against him. Salieri prays to God, promising to be chaste and dedicated when God makes him a renowned composer. Shortly thereafter, his dad dies and liberates him from following his goal.
