The captain of a North Pole ship, Robert Walton, tells his sister in Britain of how he is progressing on his risky mission in a number of letters. The mission was succeeded early on, and soon the oceans of unmoving ice interrupted. Trapped, Walton meets Victor Frankenstein, a dog-drawn sled on the ice who is debilitated by coldness. Walton takes him on board a boat, helps him recover to his health, and learns the incredible story of the monster he made.

In his early days in Geneva, Victor initially describes. Victor joins the University of Ingolstadt at the end of a happy childhood with Elizabeth Lavenza (his cousin in the version of 1818, his adopted sister in the edition of 1831), and his friend Henry Clerval. There he is eaten up with the urge to discover the secret of life and is convinced of it after several years of research.

Victor felt bad that he delivered a new life into the world without preparation to take charge of the monster after bringing the creature to existence. He flees his creation and conscience in terror and contempt. The monster goes to the countryside as Victor searches for comfort in a tavern close to the campus. Henry Clerval seems to save and heal Victor.

Victor knows who the murderer is, but cannot tell the police or his family. He traveled from Genève to replenish his pained spirit. When he sees the monster coming, he visited Mount Montanvert to make a suggestion for his master—”give me my own mate.” Victor rejects, and the monster begs to listen to the part of his story. The pair retreats into a little cottage on the mountain, the story of the monster.

The monster has learned to read and understand language to follow the lives of his “adopted,” De Laceys, family. When the monster walks through the forests, he finds across a jacket that contains a notepad and letters that Victor misplaced. The monster knows about his creation from the notes. He tolerated human refusal but did not generally take any retaliation for his suffering on humans. On the contrary, he determined to avenge the pain and anguish suffered by other people on the family of his creator.

About the quiz

The Frankensteins go on holiday to escape their tragedy. Victor often walks in the mountains in the hope that with the beauty of nature he will relieve his sufferings. One day Victor’s monster appears, and despite the curses, he begs to hear his narrative with incredible eloquence. The monster describes his miserable life filled with agony and refusal just because of his awful look. (The monster reveals how he learned so well to read and speak.) At first, Victor rejects, then consents. The monster accuses his rage of the inability of mankind to see its inherent goodness and absolute solitude.

Victor’s dad again wishes Victor to marry Elizabeth in Geneva. Victor claims he’s going to England first. Victor meets Clerval on the route to England. But soon, Victor left Clerval in a friend’s house in Scotland and went to a lonely country to make his second monster, the woman. But one night Victor begins to worry about the destruction of a woman’s monster. Which Frankenstein character are you?
