Which Wadanohara Character Are You?

Take this Which Wadanohara Character Are You quiz to find out. We update the quiz regularly and it’s the most accurate among the other quizzes.

I went into Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea well aware that it featured blood, violence, and a series of sexual assaults. I kept this information in mind as I played the game, bracing myself for what was bound to happen. I thought I was all set.

While I was expecting the sequence in question, I was not expecting the game to remove the player’s ability to prevent it.

The game’s premise is straightforward: you are Wadanohara, a sea witch tasked with protecting the sea realm from invasion. To do so, you must visit and fix six barrier stones while encountering opposition along the road. A simple premise with simple characters that conceals a far darker story.

Editor’s Picks

Wadanohara is fundamentally about defying expectations. The game includes various twists along the road, some of which are obvious, but others that caught me off guard. Even when the game loses its veneer and displays its darker side, it retains a feeling of charm and optimism. Also, you must try to play this Which Wadanohara Character Are You quiz.

Which Wadanohara Character Are You?

At least till the very end.

Wadanohara has five different endings. There are two false ends, two normal endings, and one actual ending. Which ending you get is determined by a decision you make at the end of the game, whether to believe or not trust the major villain. Only… it doesn’t give you all of your selections immediately away. To get to the genuine ending, gamers must first go through the second conventional ending. To get the second normal ending, players must first complete the first normal ending.

The ending is comprised of a gruesome, drawn-out, and unnecessary sexual assault sequence.

Unfathomable, perplexing, and perplexing are all terms that may be used to characterize how I feel about this decision. The decision to give the players a choice, a choice not to sit through a rape scenario, and then to tie that choice to sitting through said rape sequence. Why have the option if it doesn’t imply anything? Why confine it to a single conclusion and then force the player to sit through it? When I first arrived at this part, I just sat there, bewildered, unable to comprehend how any game creator could make anything like this.

About the quiz

This would not have bothered me nearly as much if the scenario was skippable or avoidable, but the fact that it isn’t indicates that the creator thought it was significant enough to overlook the player’s personal discomfort with it. That the shock value was an important and crucial aspect of the game.

It is not the case.

Many times in the past, sexual assault has been played up for shock value, and Wadanohara will not be the first or last time it is used. But it resonated with me because of how abrupt, apparent, and unnecessary it all was. The game seemed to be punishing the player for the crime of enjoying the game up to that point, from the false option to the way the game rubs your face in the character’s pain.

Even at its most brutal and gruesome, I would describe Wadanohara as a pleasant and enjoyable game. It has its own charm and elegance that shines through the game’s darkest moments. The other two endings cemented this in my mind, and I was sincerely moved by the true finale. Despite this, the original conclusion left me really unhappy and irritated. It’s unnecessary, tasteless, and shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

If you have the option of allowing the player to skip something like that, please do not make them do so.
