A big part of “The investigation,” Tobias Lindholm’s dramatic account of the killing of investigative journalist Kim Wall in 2017, is obviously missing. There is nothing. It’s difficult to conceive any remedy for this tragedy, which spans six episodes without any image of the eventual killer Peter Madsen onscreen.
Much of this is due to the manner in which “The Research” manages time. Although this season is months in length, Lindholm, the writer/director, refuses to send easy markers to tension in the case. It is similar to the way in which a board is placed that does not bother to be deleted by people as there is nothing new either by Jens Møller Jensen (Søren Malling) and Jakob Buch-Jépsen (Pilou Asbæk), a prosecutor. There are many words and graphs that nobody can add to this board. Finding the body of Wall becomes a major element of their chase – it emphasizes how singular their quest is if the show returns to the details of the recovery process and a point-to-point timeline of all that has happened on the submarine!
Which The Investigation character are you?
The way the key people on that side of the story speak to one other is one of the first clues of how this program follows a different line. It’s an artifact of a time just before a pre-Zoomed world in some sense. In grainy automobiles, Bluetooth phones developments are provided. There are no favored conferences in the middle of a table in a sterilized room, just a telephone with a charger.
In 2017, Swedish freelance journalist Kim Wall’s assassination, which spread over her assassination and the ferocity of the crime, consummated the Scandinavian press. Only a few years later, Director Tobias Lindholm began to do the exact opposite of the story Wall’s, after the terrible tragedy. The Investigation made his American debut on HBO Feb. 1, with the dramatic re-creation of the events. The show takes a long time to illustrate the minutiae of the hunt for a murderer, allowing the true heroes rather than the murderer to be the main players of the story.
Kim Wall received a text from a source from which she hadn’t heard for months on 10 August 2017. Even when the evening came, the couple moved from Copenhagen to Beijing and their lover took part, they agreed to sail from their own festival to meet with Danish inventor Peter Madsen and to ride their self-made submarines for an interview. Wall. She was Madsen’s fourth woman, but the first to accept that day, to ride his boat. Also, you will find out which The Investigation character are you in this quiz.
About the quiz
Then, her boyfriend called the police after Kim Wall was not home or in contact by 1:45 a.m. The submarine was located in the Danish Navy at about 10:30 a.m. on the morning of 11 August. It started sinking shortly thereafter. Madsen swam to a rescue boat, but Wall did not show any sign.
It’s only about her death being investigated. Nothing else. Nothing else.
This notion does not seem to differ that much from a dozen other crime series in theory, especially because many basic outlines remain. Jens Møller Jensen, a head detective in charge of the case, is played in Søren Malling (Borgen). They do all they know about the crime, such as pinning notes on a large board and a timeline thereon. They also flick with anxiety through forensic reports cut inside manila envelopes with edges that become wearier with time. Then, they spend a lot of time replying to telephone calls and making more calls. It is usual research, paper, and slogging, but it is in a narrative framework, so that we may all feel good at the end or at least go someplace. It is supervised by Tobias Lindholm (who was an author, you guessed it, Borge). After a job in a makeshift submarine, the wall disappeared. Detectives quickly locate some indications that in various S&M clubs around Copenhagen the man who created the submarine was recognized. The underwater voyage is strange in the circumstances; the owner of the sub has square, malleable information on what happened.
