Many people inquire and respond: “Does this come from where the fuck?” The simple answer is that in 2007 or 2008 because he had written several short tales, I sent an email discussion with Todd Grimson, author of the novel. Even the novel, I didn’t know. He told me, I read, and he clung to me really, because it’s so odd.
This is a unique combination of genres and styles and this protagonist has been, at least for me, amoral but also truly related. She has this creative power and she wants it out and she’s surrounded by this horror dream world. She is surrounded by this dream. Then I came to L.A. and started to write TV screenplays, I became acquainted with Lenore and Channel Zero. We talked in 2016, and I presented the book to Lenore, ‘I think it’s your mood. Something I always wanted to do with this. What do you believe?”
