Given the role that the internet plays in our lives, the ability to build a web site seems like it should be as important as learning to read or write. Whether you’re aspiring to become a published author, record a CD, or build a business, the ability to build a web site is going to be an essential asset. There’s no way to really be relevant without it. But it’s not something that’s taught in school.
Learning WordPress and Elementor
In this guide I am not going to explain how to make a website but it’s assumed that you already know that. If you don’t you should immediately learn it as it is the most important skill if you want to make money online.
The easiest way to do it is by learning WordPress. Using the Elementor Pro plugin you will be able to make websites really fast, which is what you need.
Now that you already know how to make website let me show you how you can market your skills which is how I started and I would recommend it to everyone since you can make good amount of money and you can hone your skills.
WordPress Portfolio
You are going to need to build a portfolio of 2-3 websites. The first I recommend to make is a personal portfolio for yourself, the second should be a blog-type website and the third one should be an e-commerce website. This way you will show people that you can in-fact finish their job.
Promoting your skills using Reddit
We are going to utilize Reddit for this, specifically this subreddit to promote ourselves
In this subreddit you can both make a post that offers your services, or you can make a post that needs some task finished, whether it’s solving a bug on a website or asking for a virtual assistant, that subreddit has everything and it’s pretty active.
The next step is building a Reddit account that has karma so that you are allowed to post on that subreddit. There are certain rules on each subreddits like having more than 100 comment karma and 100 post karma, which is what we want to achieve.
Now that you have a portfolio and ready account on Reddit we can start posting. But you may ask how should you structure your posts and I will show you that now
How should your Reddit post look
I am going to show you I did it. For the post title you need to tell them exactly what you are going to offer and how much money it will cost.
Example title: [OFFER] I will build you a professional WordPress website or redesign the existing one for 50$
Now in the post description this is what I wrote
Bidding for jobs that other people offer
You can also bid for jobs on other people posts. So for example if someone is looking for a bug fix, or is looking for a brand new website. You should go to their posts and comment $bid.
Conclusion
While this method might not make you a millionaire it will open so many doors in the future that you are gonna be grateful that you started.
