Two bounty hunters, played by Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef, are on the trail of “El Indio” (Gian Maria Volonté), one of the most wanted fugitives in the western territories (one of whom is played by Kinski). Indio is a cunning, vicious man with a keen intellect. During gunfights, he plays a pocket watch that plays music. “Begin when the chimes stop,” he says. It turns out that the watch was once owned by a young woman (Rosemary Dexter).
When Indio killed her boyfriend (in Joe Millard’s novelization of the picture, the young guy is her newlywed husband), she committed suicide while being raped by him. It has a picture of her on it and was given to her by the young guy before he was killed.
After illegally stopping a train in Tucumcari, Colonel Mortimer (Cleef) collects a $1,000 reward on Guy Calloway (José Terrón). It’s clear that Mortimer’s gun-slinging skills are on display when he kills him from a distance. “Baby” Cavanagh has a $2,000 bounty on his head, and he was last spotted at White Rocks, according to José Marco.

Mortimer is informed that Eastwood’s figure, known as ‘Monco,’ has already targeted Cavanagh. A saloon is where Monco finds Cavanagh playing five-card draw poker. Taking the bounty, Monco kills him and all of his soldiers. They eventually meet in El Paso after learning about one other from different sources and decide to work together to take down Indio and his gang after a heated argument.
Just like all of the huge and corny Westerns Hollywood used to produce. “For a Few Dollars More” consists of situations, not stories. If a child left the plot to go fetch popcorn, he risked missing something.

Mortimer and the Man with No Name are the only survivors of the terrible combat, which culminates in Indio’s death.
Leone followed up A Fistful of Dollars (1964) with For a Few Dollars More (1965), which many feel to be superior. Leone was able to cast Van Cleef opposite Eastwood because of a sharper storyline and a larger budget in the sequel. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is the final installment in the Dollars trilogy.
