The Dark Triad is a prominent psychological concept. It refers to 3 kinds of personality connected with an insidious manipulative interpersonal style and to the following: short-term and exploitative combination strategy, impulsivity, lack of self-control, conduct that seeks to take risks, reduction in future, violence, and egoism.
While these categories are conceptually distinct, they clearly overlap. Moreover, all this is typically attributed to what I call narcissistic persons and what other people usually call narcissistic persons, sociopaths, psychopathic abusers, manipulators, or toxic persons. It also incorporates other characteristics such as a sense of right, paranoia, delusion and admiration, and attention. This classification is therefore not the most useful but helps to detect harmful characteristics.
