Gunner Boone (Lonnie Chavis), 11, mainly lives in his mind, riding his motorcycle, visiting a local library, pick up a new collection of stories from Sherlock Holmes, and writing his own graphic novel on a detective investigating his own death. Mary his mom (Rosario Dawson) has leukemia, and Amos (Oyelowo) his father is a Marine, who is far away from home. He can’t connect with Gunner when Amos is home. He’s awful, abrupt, even nasty at times.

About the quiz
The Water Man is a fascinating adventure picture that has its frightening moments, full times, and warmth. Much, maybe too much, is happening here, and the abrupt and unclear end of the primary plot is very aggravating. Nevertheless, The waterman is worth the superb cast, the overall message, and the voyage.
This film follows little Gunner when he rejects giving up hope for his mother, who is dying of cancer. All around him seems to have started to, including his parents and his mother’s doctor, but he recruits a local girl named Jo when he discovers the legend of the Water Man to assist him to discover a creature who can heal.
The Water Man cannot be discussed and the amazing work that the caste accomplishes with this picture can’t be touched. Next to Rosario Dawson, David Oyelowo not only directs but also stars. Both steal the scenery every time you are on the display. Their chemistry and connection and the difficulty of Dawson’s portrayal as sick and dead are obvious and help make the film what it is.
Amiah Miller, who plays Jo, and Lonnie Chavis, who plays Gunner, are younger actors, yet they also crash on the screen. The film focuses on Gunner and his connection with both his parents and Jo. Some of the nicest moments when Jo and Gunner explore the forest together.
